Andrew Hastie is an Australian Liberal party politician who serves as Chair of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security and as the Federal MP for Canning, WA in the Australian House of Representatives. Hastie has been praised for his statements on the need to preserve Australia’s sovereignty in the face of an increasingly expansionist China.
