Dr Darren Mann is a British surgeon with experience in war and violent conflict zones. He is an independent Consultant Advisor on the Law of Armed Conflict, with emphasis on respect for the recognised symbols of humanitarian protection. He has brought world attention to violations of International Humanitarian norms occurring in Hong Kong (where he holds permanent residency status) during the current civil rights protest movement, and has led calls for a United Nations Special Envoy to be appointed to seek resolution of the conflict.
